Administer Oxygen in an emergency situation PUAEME003B

Course Purpose: This training is suitable for individuals/companies/organisations and will provide participants with the competencies to administer supplementary oxygen to a casualty and ancillary oxygen equipment. This includes butis not limited to:
- Assess casualty and develop management plan
- Checking Oxygen Equipment
- Maintain unobstructed airway and resuscitate casualty
- Use oxygen to provide therapy
- Recover and restore Equipment
Course Format:
Option 1: 3 hours face-to-face Training
Option 2: 2 hours face-to-face Training for the re-certification
Course Assessment: At the completion of the course participants must demonstrate competency using oxygen equipment.
Qualification Issued: Statement of Attainment - Administer Oxygen in an emergency situation PUAEMEO03B in partial completionj of Certificate III in Public Safety (Aquatic search and Rescue) PUA31304.
Certification: A4 display certificate plus a plastic wallet card valid for one year from date of issue.
Pre-requisites: The Student should have a Senior Level First Aid qualification (or its equivalent). Participants with language, literacy and numeracy issues should discuss options prior to enrolment.
CPD Points: This course carries 6 points for the CPD Program in NSW.
Target Audience: This course is suitable for anyone requiring training to administer supplementary oxygen to a casualty and ancillary oxygen equipment.
Standards: The course complies with policy advice from the Australian Resuscitation Council.
