Child Care First Aid level 2
Registration Details: Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board (VETAB) Registered Training Organisation number 90909 and ABN 63 114 756 857.
Course Purpose: To allow the student to gain the confidence required when dealing with and adult or child casualty, when help is required and allow the student to gain a nationally recognised qualification.
Course Format:
Option 1: Mixed Delivery: NSW 5 hours (South Australia 8 hours) face-to-face training following completion of a workbook prior to attending the practical first aid session. Also available is a re-certification course for those who have previously attended a first aid course three years prior.
Option 2: NSW 15 hours of Training. South Australia 18 Hours.
Course Assessment: At the completion of the course participabrs must demonstrate competency during a short theory exam and a practical performance.
Qualification Issued: Statement of Attainment - Apply First aid HLTFA301B in partial completion of HLT21107 Certificate II in Emergency Medical Service First Response.
Certification: A4 Display certificate plus a plastic wallet card valid for three years from date of issue.
Pre-requisites: The students must be over the age of 14 at the completion of the course.
CPD Points: This course carries 30 points for the CPD Program in NSW.
Target Audience: This course is suitable for anyone requiring a Senior First Aid Certificate, especially relevant for emplyment opportunities such as childcare workers.
Standards: The course complies with policy advice from the Australian Resusciation Council. Conforms to the legislative requirements as put out byt the Department of Community Services (DOCS) NSW.
