Occupational First Aid

Registration Details: Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board (VETAB) Registered Training Organisation number 90909 and ABN 63 114 756 857.

Course Purpose: This training is suitable for individuals, companies and organisations and will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to make them confident and competent to perform the roles and responsibilities of an Occupational First Aider as defined by state or territory legislation. Includes first aid and additional modules including Oxygen equipment and defibrillation.

Format: 32 hours face-to-face Training

Course Assessment: At the completion of the course participants must demonstrate competency during a short theory and a practical performance.

Qualification Issued: Statement of attainment - Apply First Aid HLTFA301B, Apply Advance First Aid HLTFA402B, in partial completion of HLT21107 Certificate II in Emergency Medical Service First Response. Operate a semi automatic defibrillator in an emergency PUAOPE010A. Administer Oxygen in an emergency situation PUAEMEO03B. NSW WorkCover approval number is OFA0315.

Certification: A4 display certificate plus a plastic wallet card valid for three years from date of issue.

Pre-requisites: The student must be over the age of 14 at the completion of the course.

CPD Points: This course carries 64 points for the CPD Program in NSW. 

Target Audience: This course is suitable for anyone requiring additional skills relevant for Employment.

Standards: The course complies with policy advice from the Australian Resuscitation Council.
