Course in Swimming Pool Safety Inspections 31005QLD

The course must be successfully completed to become an inspector.

The training in the course meets the requirement for Swimming Pool Safety Inspectors on accordance with the Building and Other Legislation amendment Act 2010.
Participants successfully completing the course will be eligible to apply to the Pool Safety Council for a license to become a Swimming Pool Inspector.

Course Duration

The course is a four day face-to-face (24hours) training program which includes this workbook and resources supplied by the trainer for practical activities and the delivery and assessment of all the knowledge and skills required.
The course provides for delivery in a variety of modes which may include:
  • classroom delivery with workbook and resources
  • simulated scenesfor practical activities and scenarios
  • actual pool area for practice inspections
Strategies will be selected to reflect the nature of the performance criteria and the needs of the participants. Some areas of content may be common to more than one element and therefore integration may be appropriate. An appropriate mix of knowledge and skills development is important.
