Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety (BSB41407)

The units cover a range of OHS functions relative to workplace roles, responsibilities and work levels.
This qualification reflects the roles of individuals who use well-develop skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of contexts. They apply solutions to a defined range ofunpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others. This qualification would suit an OHS officer in a full-time dedicated role who works under supervision of an OHS coordinator or OHS manager.
They include aspects such as identifying hazards; assessing OHS risks; implementing strategies to control OHS risk; advising on application of safe design principles to control OHS risk, etc. Cert 4 OHS is a qualification that will help reduce incidents in the workplace.
