This skill set is made up of the following two units of competency:

Target audience:

The target group will be construction workers and operators who require training in safely working in confined space and wearing breathing apparatus.


  • There are no prerequisites required for this course.

Award issued:

Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment: 

  • RIIWHS202D Enter and work in confined spaces
  • MSMWHS216 Operate breathing apparatus

Course duration:

Full course: 2 days face-to-face (14 hours)
