This unit covers the competency required to operate and deploy, operate, monitor and recover basic (Tier 1) oil spill response equipment as part of a team.

Target audience:

Those who are personnel deployed to operate basic (Tier 1) oil spill response equipment.

Award issued:

Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for:

Course duration:

  • Full course: 6 hours face-to-face training
  • Refresher course: 4 hours face-to-face training
