22303VIC Course in verifying the correct use of adrenaline auto-injector devices

This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to be able to verify others in the correct use of adrenaline autoinjector devices. The role of the verifier is limited to observing others who have successfully completed the ASCIA Anaphylaxis eTraining for Victorian Schools and verifying that these graduates can correctly use all of the adrenaline autoinjector devices currently available in Australia, as identified in the ASCIA anaphylaxis e-training.

Target audience:

This unit is only relevant for the Vicotrian school environment where candidates have successfully completed the online modules of the ASCIA Anaphylaxis eTraining for Victorian Schools and require verification of the correct use of all adrenaline autoinjector devices identified in this training.

Course Requirements:

Entry requirements for this course inlcude:

  • the student having successfully completed the online modules of the ASCIA Anaphylaxis eTraining for Victorian Schools
  • the student providing evidence of current competency in the correct use of adrenaline autoinjector devices identified in the ASCIA Anaphylaxis eTraining for Victorian Schools

Students are not required to bring any other materials or equipment with them to the course.

Award issued:

Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for:

  • 22303VIC Course in verifying the correct use of adrenaline auto-injector devices

Recertification Requirements:

It is recommended this unit be renewed every 3 years in line with industry standards.

Course duration:

  • Full course: 2 hours face to face training

Important information regarding course durations:

Course durations, as mentioned above, are reflective of group sizes of between 4 and 15 participants. If there are less students in a group, you may find course duration reduced by a maximum of 10%. If a class size exceeds 15 participants it may therefore also be necessary to increase course duration depending on the number of participants.
