NSW - HSR Refresher Course

Information about the course:

The Health and Safety Representative Refresher - 1 Day course is designed for elected health and safety representatives (HSRs). This training will provide HSRs with refreshed knowledge and understanding of their roles, responsibilities and powers as outlined in legislation.

What is the difference between an occupational health and safety (OHS) representative and a health and safety representative (HSR)?

An HSR will have a few additional functions to an OHS representative. Here is a link that will assist you from WORKCOVER NSW

Target audience:

Elected health and safety representatives in NSW workplaces who would like to refresh knowledge.


There are no prerequisites for this course.

To participate in the refresher course, participants must have completed the initial 5 day HSR course.  

Award issued:

Students who successfully complete this will be awarded the statement of attainment for:

  • WorkCover Health and Safety Representative training - Refresher Course .

Course duration:

  • Full course: 1 days face-to-face training

To participate in the refresher course, participants must have completed the five day initial WorkCover Health and Safety Representative training. You will need to provide your  certificate prior to attending the refresher training.
