This recommendation applies to a variety of first aid courses including HLTAID012 (First Aid in an Education and Care Setting). However, the CPR course (HLTAID009) is an exception and should be renewed annually to keep your skills current. Notably, CPR is a component of most first aid training courses, including HLTAID012, and can be taken as a standalone module.

  • HLTAID011 (Provide First Aid) is a general first aid course covering an array of techniques useful in diverse scenarios. Conversely, HLTAID012 (First Aid in an Education and Care Setting) is a specialized course targeting those in the education and care sectors, with an emphasis on handling emergencies involving children and young people.
